Jesus performed his first public miracle, at the request of his mother, at a wedding in Cana.

If you read between the lines, if you listen to the tone of his mother’s voice, you can hear that His youth must have been full of God-blessed good deeds. There’s confidence when Mary says to the servants, “Whatever he says to you, do it” (John 2:5).

Surely even in His youth, Jesus was at God’s service. His mother would know!

The apostle John writes, “There are also many other things which Jesus did, which if they would all be written, I suppose that even the world itself wouldn’t have room for the books that would be written” (John 21:25). He also says that “Jesus did many other signs in the presence of his disciples, which are not written in this book,” (John 20:30).

Oh, to go back in history and be a part of the crowds that came flocking when they heard Jesus’ name! No advertisements, no posters, no commercials, were needed. Jesus’ reputation was viral. His good deeds stirred up the whole the Mediterranean.
