“God is love” (1 John 4:8 and 16). Without God, love — that most blessed of all emotions — would not exist. Praise Him for His love toward us, His flawed but favored children.
Jesus Christ, our blessed Savior, is the living embodiment of God’s love. Praise God, nothing — nothing — is capable of separating us from the wealth of divine love which is in Jesus (Romans 8:39).
Love has no limits
Love is patient and is kind. Love doesn’t envy. Love doesn’t brag, is not proud, doesn’t behave itself inappropriately, doesn’t seek its own way, is not provoked, takes no account of evil; doesn’t rejoice in unrighteousness, but rejoices with the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, and endures all things.
God’s love is available to me
I made known to them your name, and will make it known; that the love with which you loved me may be in them, and I in them.
Loving God fills my life with good things
We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose.
Nothing tops love
But now faith, hope, and love remain—these three. The greatest of these is love.
Belief leads to love
For the Father himself loves you, because you have loved me, and have believed that I came from God.
Nothing can separate me from God’s love
For I am persuaded that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing will be able to separate us from God’s love which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Remaining in Christ’s love is my joy
Even as the Father has loved me, I also have loved you. Remain in my love. If you keep my commandments, you will remain in my love, even as I have kept my Father’s commandments and remain in his love. I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
Love affects my actions
My little children, let’s not love in word only, or with the tongue only, but in deed and truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth, and persuade our hearts before him.
Jesus’ sacrifice of love allows me to live
I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. That life which I now live in the flesh, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself up for me.
God loves me forever
For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God didn’t send his Son into the world to judge the world, but that the world should be saved through him.
God is love
Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love. By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.
Loving God benefits me
It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you this day, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, that I will give the rain of your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil. I will give grass in your fields for your livestock, and you shall eat and be full.
Loving God benefits my spirit
But as it is written, “Things which an eye didn’t see, and an ear didn’t hear, which didn’t enter into the heart of man, these God has prepared for those who love him.” But to us, God revealed them through the Spirit. For the Spirit searches all things, yes, the deep things of God.
God’s love blesses me
He will love you, bless you, multiply you. He will also bless the fruit of your body and the fruit of your ground, your grain and your new wine and your oil, the increase of your livestock and the young of your flock, in the land which he swore to your fathers to give you.
I believe in God’s love
We know and have believed the love which God has for us. God is love, and he who remains in love remains in God, and God remains in him.
God’s love points me toward perfection
I in them, and you in me, that they may be perfected into one; that the world may know that you sent me and loved them, even as you loved me.
