I set the alarm for 4:00 a.m., but forgot to turn it on.

When I rolled over and looked at the time, it was already 5:00 a.m.!

I jumped up, knowing I did not have a good chance of getting to work on time. I eliminated my shower that morning and simply combed my hair, washed my face, brushed my teeth, and ran out the door.

There was no time to pray. My heart raced all the way to work. I finally arrived with only a few minutes to spare.

I hurried inside and noticed that everyone had their protective equipment on. The set-up man was already changing a machine over to the next job. Everyone was ready and set to do their jobs.

When break time arrived, I bought refreshments for everyone, telling them why I was late, thanking them for getting started on time without me.

Everyone’s reply was, “You are always fair, and you take care of us. It is the least we can do.”

Treating those who work for me with respect, giving them the dignity they deserve, came back to me as grace that day. I felt a deep sense of gratitude.

God extends even greater grace to us every day. He provides my every need. This is why I thank Him. He is my everything.
