From my vantage point, so many of the things that God calls me into are difficult and the path there seems to greet me with problems.

If I see giants scattered along the way of where God is leading me, I tend to question.

When I felt God leading me back to school for a master’s degree, there were so many circumstantial things I could look at that would cause me to turn from the way He was leading. Despite the obstacles that I faced, I couldn’t deny God’s leading, so I stepped out and followed.

Now graduated, with all of it behind me, it is easy to see all the blessings and provisions God made, but the first step is always the hardest.

God called His people into many similar situations.

In Numbers 13, God is leading His people to a land full of blessings, but the majority of Israel focuses on the circumstances, only seeing the obstacles that block their path. In verse 30, though, we see that at least one man, Caleb, was willing to focus on God and jump into obedience immediately, despite how bleak the circumstance looked.

In our own strength, the situations we are called to are impossible, but when we move with God, at His leading and in His strength, we can overcome the obstacles.
