“Have mercy on me!” This is the most profound cry of those praying for a miracle: the miracle of Christ’s mercy.
I want to cry the same: “Have mercy on me, Lord!” Everybody needs God’s mercy.
From beginning to end, the Bible is full of mercy. The more you focus on God’s words and acts of mercy, the more deeply you can experience the One who died for you, who showed His mercy for you with His blood on the cross.
Help me to be merciful to others as God has been merciful to me
Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.
The Lord requires me to love mercy
He has shown you, O man, what is good. What does the LORD require of you, but to act justly, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God?
God blesses me when I am merciful to others
Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.
I come boldly to God’s throne, the only spot where I will receive His mercy
Let’s therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy and may find grace for help in time of need.
With everlasting love, God will have mercy on me
“In overflowing wrath I hid my face from you for a moment, but with everlasting loving kindness I will have mercy on you,” says the LORD your Redeemer.
God wants me to actively show mercy to others
But you go and learn what this means: ‘I desire mercy, and not sacrifice,’ for I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.
When I cry “have mercy on me,” Jesus will surely make miracles
Behold, a Canaanite woman came out from those borders and cried, saying, “Have mercy on me, Lord, you son of David! My daughter is severely possessed by a demon!”
God shows mercy from generation to generation to all who fear Him, even me
His mercy is for generations and generations on those who fear him.
God’s children rejoice because of His mercy
Her neighbors and her relatives heard that the Lord had magnified his mercy toward her, and they rejoiced with her.
Jesus bids me show mercy to other needy ones as the Good Samaritan did
He said, “He who showed mercy on him.” Then Jesus said to him, “Go and do likewise.”
I will not be judgmental; God will show mercy on whomever He wishes
He said, “I will make all my goodness pass before you, and will proclaim the LORD’s name before you. I will be gracious to whom I will be gracious, and will show mercy on whom I will show mercy.”
God is merciful and gracious
The LORD passed by before him, and proclaimed, “The LORD! The LORD, a merciful and gracious God, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness and truth, keeping loving kindness for thousands, forgiving iniquity and disobedience and sin; and who will by no means clear the guilty, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, and on the children’s children, on the third and on the fourth generation.”
God mercifully grants me life
But God, being rich in mercy, for his great love with which he loved us, even when we were dead through our trespasses, made us alive together with Christ—by grace you have been saved—
True divine wisdom is full of mercy
But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceful, gentle, reasonable, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy.
Through Job’s story, God demonstrates His mercy to His children
Behold, we call them blessed who endured. You have heard of the perseverance of Job, and have seen the Lord in the outcome, and how the Lord is full of compassion and mercy.
