Bible verses about
Positive Thinking

The source of my positive thinking is Jesus Christ, not my power of thinking. I have Jesus; thus, I can do everything.

Thanks to Jesus’ influence in my life, I don’t fall into Satan’s trap of believing I can do everything on my own. Instead, I claim the promises I find in the Bible and have a Christ-based approach to the challenges I face.

Christ helps me to fix my thoughts on positive things

Philippians 4:8

Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report: if there is any virtue and if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

Being cheerful is healthy

Proverbs 17:22

A cheerful heart makes good medicine, but a crushed spirit dries up the bones.

Instead of worrying, I pray and give thanks for everything

Philippians 4:6

In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.

I can face the future with optimism, for my Lord gives me hope

Jeremiah 29:11

“For I know the thoughts that I think toward you,” says the LORD, “thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future.”

Through Christ, I can do everything

Philippians 4:12-13

I know how to be humbled, and I also know how to abound. In any and all circumstances I have learned the secret both to be filled and to be hungry, both to abound and to be in need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.

I speak positively, for my words have power

Proverbs 18:21

Death and life are in the power of the tongue; those who love it will eat its fruit.

In Christ, God’s promise is always “Yes,” to which I respond, “Amen”

2 Corinthians 1:19-20

For the Son of God, Jesus Christ, who was preached among you by us—by me, Silvanus, and Timothy—was not “Yes and no,” but in him is “Yes.” For however many are the promises of God, in him is the “Yes.” Therefore also through him is the “Amen”, to the glory of God through us.

I remain positive, for God hears when I pray

Numbers 14:28

Tell them, “As I live, says the LORD, surely as you have spoken in my ears, so I will do to you.”

I choose to develop a positive character

Ephesians 4:31-32

Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tender hearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.

I have a strong faith that all things are possible with God

Mark 9:23-24

Jesus said to him, “If you can believe, all things are possible to him who believes.” Immediately the father of the child cried out with tears, “I believe. Help my unbelief!”

I humbly pray that my words and meditation will be acceptable to God

Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart be acceptable in your sight, LORD, my rock, and my redeemer.

I take quiet time to have intimacy with my God; I am positive He is in control

Be still, and know that I am God. I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth.
