It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to my commandments which I command you today, to love the LORD your God, and to serve him with all your heart and with all your soul, that I will give the rain for your land in its season, the early rain and the latter rain, that you may gather in your grain, your new wine, and your oil.
God is the God of truth. He does not exaggerate. He does not say what He does not mean. He does not lie. He is a keeper of His promises without fail. So when God said these words—that in exchange for our faithful obedience and devotion to Him, He will provide our every need in abundance and without our having to worry about it—He meant it. He still means it. He always will. God will not fail to bless and keep those who love and obey Him.
That’s all there is to it. It really is that simple…if we will let it be.
Pray: God, give me a heart and mind that sees the simplistic beauty of your promise. Give me the ability to embrace that promise and claim it for my own. In Your Son’s Name, I pray, Amen.
