God Will Do Greater Things in Your Future

by Pastor Ken

I will bow down toward your holy temple, and give thanks to your Name for your loving kindness and for your truth; for you have exalted your Name and your Word above all.

Psalm 138:2

In Psalm 138, King David praises God poetically.

When he worships God, he reports what God has done for him and his country. He gives thanks to God’s Name. He honors God’s reputation because He has done great things to Israel (2 Samuel 7:21, Psalm 91:14).

David acted as a beacon of righteousness and hope for the pagan nations of the world at that time. David expresses the fulfillment of the Word, or promise, of God. In doing so, he restores confidence in the good name of God. David considers God as the King of kings who gives loving kindness and truth to His people.

Your praise and worship can do the same. Your praise and worship can light the way toward God for those around you who don’t know Jesus. Your grateful and joyful life can be a beacon to proclaim Him to the world (Matthew 5:14-16; 28:19-20).

Tell Jesus, ”I love You and honor You. Make me Your light!” Then let Jesus shine through you so others will see Him and come to know Him. If you do, God will do greater things in your future than He has already done so far.

With all my heart, I praise You.
Thank You for the Bible and its promises.
Thank You that You will continually bless my life in countless ways.
I pray, in the wonderful Name of Jesus, Amen.
