God Helps You Grow with the Bread of Adversity

John 15:1, 4-5

“I am the true vine, and my Father is the farmer. Remain in me, and I in you. As the branch can’t bear fruit by itself, unless it remains in the vine, so neither can you, unless you remain in me. I am the vine. You are the branches. He who remains in me, and I in him, the same bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing.”

Have you ever felt that life’s trials and difficulties are bigger and ‘badder’ when you follow God’s leading? Does it seem following Jesus results in adversity and affliction? Have you ever thought, why bother? Why not take the easy way out and skip the emotional or physical suffering?

Take heart and don’t give up! God is there to help you grow with the bread of adversity and quenching your thirst for something deeper with the water of affliction. When you allow God to take you through the difficult times; learning to see things from His perspective, you will always, and I mean always, be better and stronger for having done so.

But don’t’ wait for a crisis to hit or things to get to overwhelming for you before you turn to God. God wants you to know Him and feel secure in Him in all circumstances; good, bad, or indifferent. He wants to give you success in your endeavors and to bless you abundantly. You can choose that success with the beloved Son of God. You can decide right now keep your eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects your faith (Hebrews 12:2).

Give all your worries and cares to God, for He cares about you.

1 Peter 5:7 NLT

Give Jesus the good days as well as the bad. Give Him your smiles, your excitement, your stress and your worries; give everything to Jesus. He is waiting to give you bread, water, and directions to success.
