The LORD is my rock, my fortress, and my deliverer; my God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; my shield, and the horn of my salvation, my high tower.
You live in a world that is constantly changing, but you worship God who never changes. That means that you can be comforted in the knowledge that Jesus is the rock that cannot be moved: “I am the Lord, I do not change” (Malachi 3:6 NKJV).
When you face tough times, difficult situations, unfair treatment, or a broken relationship, remember that some things never change—things like the love you feel in your heart and God’s love for you.
So do not worry about life’s inevitable challenges. Instead, focus your energies on Jesus. He is unchanging in the midst of change. He is Jesus Christ—the same yesterday, today and forever (Hebrews 13:8).
Prayer: Jesus, come to me now and work in my life. Show me the way to contentment and peace in You no matter what is going on around me. In Your name, I pray, amen.
