“Seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.”
I can’t count the number of times I’ve wanted to do something that appeared to be the right thing for me as well as others, but for one reason or another it just didn’t work out.
Sometimes I was disappointed. Other times I was a little confused, wondering why God didn’t allow something that I was certain would be pleasing to Him if it happened.
But no matter what I thought or how I responded, I can tell you that EVERY SINGLE ONE of those situations turned out just the way they needed to. No exceptions. Funny how it always works out, isn’t it?
Of course, things working out is hardly coincidence.
I know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose (Romans 8:28). When we put God first in our hearts and minds, He makes sure we have what we need when we need it, and then some.
Are you struggling with some severe life issues right now?
Why not take those issues to God first? Remember: because Christ is with you, you never give up! Instead, believe that you can do all things through Jesus who strengthens you (Philippians 4:13).
How can I let God show me His will and plan for me?
Dear God, Thank You for taking such great care of me. Help me put You first always. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
