God Really Listens to Your Prayers

by Pastor Ken

Mark 11:24

Therefore I tell you, all things whatever you pray and ask for, believe that you have received them, and you shall have them.

Today’s verse is a promise Jesus made — a promise you can hold on to.

It’s a promise I have been holding on to since I was ten years old. I have seen it fulfilled in many miraculous and not-so-miraculous ways. This promise has resulted in blessings of my own, while also allowing me to see other people experience blessings from God in their lives.

This promise puts all of God’s unlimited power at humanity’s disposal. It isn’t something meant to be toyed with or taken lightly.

This promises that when you are in trouble and cry out to God, He will hear you. Make your requests known to Him. He listens intently to every word on your heart and on your lips. When you are lying down, sitting, walking, standing, or crouched down in fear… God is listening.

But God doesn’t just listen. God answers every prayer. When you pray, you will receive what you sincerely pray for, based on the promises of the Bible.

Your prayers may be inaudible to any person, but they cannot disappear into silence, nor can they be lost in the busy-ness of life. Nothing can drown out your voice from the heavenly Father.

Reflection

What do I want to be? What do I want to have? What do I want to accomplish? I will give my dreams and goals to God with full confidence that He will help me beyond my imagination.

Prayer

Dear God, Thank You for always hearing and answering my prayers. Help me pray with faith and with a sincere heart to be like You. “I believe; help my unbelief” (Mark 9:24). In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
