Made with His Own Two Hands

by Darla Noble

The LORD God formed man from the dust of the ground, and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life; and man became a living soul.

Genesis 2:7

If you enjoy woodworking, sewing, cake decorating, painting, or some other form of arts and crafts, you know what it means to experience a sense of satisfaction and accomplishment when you stand back and look at what you’ve made. I think that you are somewhat protective of these things. You can’t stand the things you’ve worked so hard to create be misused or under-appreciated.

The same holds true with God when it comes to you. You are God’s creation, workmanship, and a masterpiece. It breaks His heart to see you misused and under-appreciated—especially when you under-appreciate yourself or misuse your own body.

God made you in His own image, man or woman. So, now, in Christ, you can praise and glorify Him.

How? Simply, give away unimaginably abundant blessings in a radical, unique and free-giving manner.

Be the happiest person, because God gives you today to be the best of His image to others.

Smile, when you smile, you’re the most beautiful person in the universe!

Make a musical sound, “Thank you!” “Wonderful!” “I like you” “You look great!”

Admire others as His own masterpieces and say. “You’re wonderful!” “You’re special!”

Now, sing to God for creating the one and only, beautiful and amazing YOU.

Give me the wisdom to appreciate the beauty of what You created by making me.
In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
