By faith Enoch was taken away, so that he wouldn’t see death, and he was not found, because God translated him. For he has had testimony given to him that before his translation he had been well pleasing to God. Enoch walked with God, and he was not found, for God took him.
How can you walk with God as Enoch did?
First and foremost, make Jesus your best, your closest friend.
Tell Him what’s going on in your life. Open your heart and share what’s in it — worries, plans, work, relationships, goals, struggles, fear, pain — anything and everything.
You can tell Him you love Him — that you appreciate what He has done and what He will do for you. You can give your heart, body, soul, and spirit to Him. Let Him lead your life for His glory.
When you walk with Jesus, you get to know Him better. The better you know Him, the more you become like Him. And the more you become like Him, the more likely you are to do what Jesus wants you to do even when it isn’t popular or goes against the opinions of the world (1 Peter 2:19-20).
Walking with God also makes worship and sharing the message of salvation with others a natural part of who you are (Hebrews 13:15-16).
When you live this way, one day Jesus will come and take you to heaven where you will walk with God for all eternity.
In what ways do I walk with God today? How can I walk even more closely with Him and follow where He leads?
Dear Jesus, Please help me to walk with You as Enoch did today and every day. You know my challenges, my hopes, my dreams, and my fears. You make my life worthwhile. I know You will never leave me. Please walk beside me every step of my life’s journey. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
