Drawing near to God can be difficult.

With such busy lifestyles sometimes it feels, at least to me, that there’s hardly enough time to spend on myself; let alone with Jesus!

Some must go to school and worry about homework. Others have to go to work, or take care of their parents, or worry about the kids. Life’s worries and problems never stop. Once you solve one, another pops up and you have to start all over again.

But Jesus tells us there’s a much easier way. “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light” (Matthew 11:28-30).

If we come to Jesus with our problems, He can give us rest and peace. “Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you,” Peter reminds us (1 Peter 5:7).

In times of stress, remember today’s verse. Draw near to God, believing that Jesus is able to save everyone who approaches the Father through Him.

He lives, forever making intercession on your behalf. Who hasn’t got time for a Savior like that?
