Such confidence we have through Christ toward God; not that we are sufficient of ourselves, to account anything as from ourselves; but our sufficiency is from God.
2 Corinthians 3:4-5
I know full well that God is the source of energy in my life.
All I have and all I do is because of Him.
For example, my team of doctors has told me I’m alive only because God decided it wasn’t time for me to die. But it hasn’t been easy. I’ve had to work hard to claw my way up to being able to do the simplest tasks.
For over a year it was a struggle to get up every morning and get myself ready, and then try to do something with my day. But I did, and things eventually got better; better to the point of my new normal.
When I think about how hard I worked, I know I was successful only because God gave me the strength to be successful. I am also thankful beyond words that I don’t have to work that hard for my home in heaven. Nothing I could do would be sufficient for that. Only my faithful obedience and God’s grace is enough to make heaven my eternal home.
While we need to be proactive in our faith, and we should strive to live in obedience to God, never forget that our works are expressions of gratitude, not a purchase price for salvation.
God is the source of energy for who we are!
I am nothing without You.
Thank You for Your strength and wisdom that guides my life.
In the Name of Jesus, I pray, Amen.
