In today’s verses, David sings to the Lord a joyful song of thanks.

He praises Him because the Lord had delivered him from the enemies who tried to kill him. David is deeply invested in God’s watch care over him. Look carefully at the verses.

David’s song of joy declares the Lord is MY rock, MY fortress, MY deliverer, MY refuge, MY shield, MY salvation, MY high tower, MY savior, and MY God.

The Lord is not far away. He is a personal Deliverer in Whom David could take refuge. God would eventually save him from the devouring wicked enemy.

Today, God pours out all of His love on us. His infinite grace showers down upon us.

Let us rejoice as David did for His all-caring attention, His unconditional love, His amazing grace, and His perfect salvation.

Like David, Job declares, “I know that MY Redeemer lives. In the end, He will stand on the earth” (Job 19:25).

I long for the day when all the family of God will have a glorious eternity together. Then each day will show us a new aspect of our Savior and we will praise Him with hearts full of gratitude.
