Great Things You Never Imagined

by Pastor Ken

Call to me, and I will answer you, and will show you great things, and difficult, which you don’t know.

Jeremiah 33:3

King Hezekiah prayed to God to save him from the Assyrians. God saw the audacity and pride of Sennacherib, the King of Assyria and his commander Rabshakeh, so He answered King Hezekiah’s prayers for Himself and for His people. He answered them by showing them great and difficult things which they didn’t know.

The ‘great and difficult thing’ God showed Hezekiah and the Israelites was the killing of 185,000 Assyrian soldiers. God sent an angel into the night to kill them. Hezekiah and his people were grateful and amazed. It would have been impossible for them to win against the Assyrians in battle—on their own. But God protected them in a miraculous and mighty way. The King of Assyria went back and was killed by the next king (2 Kings 18:13-19:37).

Do you have a seemingly-impossible situation in your life? Remember the God who listened to Hezekiah will listen to your prayer too. He will answer and do great things you never imagined. There is no damage, pain, or difficulty that God cannot restore or heal if you believe as King Hezekiah did.

Father, thank You so much for Your promise that You will answer me and will show me great things and difficult things which I don’t know. I pray in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
