Unimaginably Wonderful

by Pastor Ken and Joyverse

1 John 4:7-9

Beloved, let’s love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves has been born of God, and knows God. He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love. By this God’s love was revealed in us, that God has sent his one and only Son into the world that we might live through him.

He who doesn’t love doesn’t know God, for God is love.

1 John 4:8

Loving anyone means you want to have a close relationship with them, spending time together, enjoying each other’s company, getting to know each other.

Loving God is no different. We draw closer to Him when we spend time reading His Word, when we recognize His fingerprints in nature, and when we get to know His children and His plans for us more fully.

The blessings of having a deep relationship with Jesus are unimaginably wonderful. I know this to be true because I have experienced these blessings since I accepted Jesus as my Savior at the age of ten.

God’s blessings through His love are endless and abundant. The inner peace God gives those who make Him Lord of their life is the source of strength we need to live in this sinful world.

How wonderful it is to be called “Beloved!” And if you and I keep on loving God and walking with Him, we will one day be with Him and be like Him.

Reflection

According to today’s verses, what is the relationship of God to love? Are any exclusions placed on God’s love? How can I ensure that I share God’s love for all of His children?

Prayer

Loving God, I can hardly wait to see Your full revelation in my life here and in heaven for all eternity. Help me to love those I find difficult to love. Help me see them through Your eyes. Let me follow You as intimately as I can. In the name of Jesus I pray, Amen.
