Hope. It’s one of the many blessings that comes from knowing Jesus.

In Cameroon, West Africa, there is a constant threat of persecution by extremists. Homes, churches, schools and hospitals with Christian influences are burned. Christians there are killed, kidnapped, or risk becoming displaced. The suffering inflicted upon believers is pervasive and extreme. Yet, Cameroon natives continue to volunteer to grow Christianity in their communities by translating God’s Word.

Recently, a spontaneous parade erupted when the books of Luke and John were finally made available in one of the hundreds of heart languages of the Cameroons. The locals eagerly celebrated. They know the blessings of faith are worth any threat of persecution.

Hope of heaven, of healing, of relationship restoration, of God’s listening ear and His strong hand, drives the translating, printing and celebrating of God’s Word.

The Cameroonians are learning that even in the midst of persecution, in the depths of suffering and sorrow, when answers can’t be seen, when no help seems to be coming, the all-powerful, all loving, all knowing God of their Bible gives them hope. The blessing of hope is ours too.
