Sacrifice was essential in Old Testament times.

According to God’s law, a priest would kill an animal, cut it into pieces, and place it on the altar when performing a sacrifice. The physical sacrifice was important, but God wanted obedience from the heart, which was much more critical.

God wants us to become living sacrifices every day, putting aside our worldly desires, placing all our energy and resources at His disposal, trusting Him to guide us.

God has perfect plans for all His children.

Having renewed minds transforms us, enabling us to live in God’s honor. The power of God’s Son, Jesus Christ, transforms us. Filling the void in our lives with Christ is what I call a heart warming experience!

Accepting God’s grace can be an instant decision, yet transformation is ever-changing through time.

Often, sanctifying grace produces a gradual change in our lives. We start with a desire to please God by making positive changes. Serving God in a church community can help us grow through Bible study. Serving the community through church events gives us a positive feeling and a desire for more.

Eventually, we replace our desires for worldly possessions with God’s will in our personal lives. Our hardened hearts soften with God’s love. Living with the promises of eternal life gives us renewed hope!
