Second Coming of Christ
Jesus will come through the heavens with glory and power, accompanied by a host of angels. All people on the earth will see Him (Revelation 1:7).
When Christ returns, He will destroy all evil and rule the world in perfect righteousness and justice.
Each day, I walk with Jesus, so I may be found among those “who have loved His appearing” as “the blessed hope” (2 Timothy 4:8, Titus 2:13).
Jesus Christ will come on the clouds with power and great glory
Matthew 24:30-31
And then the sign of the Son of Man will appear in the sky. Then all the tribes of the earth will mourn, and they will see the Son of Man coming on the clouds of the sky with power and great glory. He will send out his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they will gather together his chosen ones from the four winds, from one end of the sky to the other.
Christ will return on the clouds with authority and honor and will rule forever
Daniel 7:13-14
I saw in the night visions, and behold, there came with the clouds of the sky one like a son of man, and he came even to the ancient of days, and they brought him near before him. Dominion was given him, and glory, and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, and languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which will not pass away, and his kingdom one that which will not be destroyed.
Jesus will return in the same way as He went to heaven
Acts 1:10-11
While they were looking steadfastly into the sky as he went, behold, two men stood by them in white clothing, who also said, “You men of Galilee, why do you stand looking into the sky? This Jesus, who was received up from you into the sky, will come back in the same way as you saw him going into the sky.”
When Christ comes down from the sky, the Christ-followers who have died will rise from the grave and meet Him in the air
1 Thessalonians 4:15-18
For this we tell you by the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will in no way precede those who have fallen asleep. For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel and with God’s trumpet. The dead in Christ will rise first, then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air. So we will be with the Lord forever. Therefore comfort one another with these words.
I must be ready all the time, for Jesus will come when least expected
Matthew 24:44
Therefore also be ready, for in an hour that you don’t expect, the Son of Man will come.
Instead of worrying, I keep alert and pray that I am ready at all times for Christ’s glorious return
Luke 21:34-36
So be careful, or your hearts will be loaded down with carousing, drunkenness, and cares of this life, and that day will come on you suddenly. For it will come like a snare on all those who dwell on the surface of all the earth. Therefore be watchful all the time, praying that you may be counted worthy to escape all these things that will happen, and to stand before the Son of Man.
Jesus will come and take me with Him, so I will always be with Him
John 14:1-3
Don’t let your heart be troubled. Believe in God. Believe also in me. In my Father’s house are many homes. If it weren’t so, I would have told you. I am going to prepare a place for you. If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and will receive you to myself; that where I am, you may be there also.
Christ says, “I am coming soon!” I joyfully reply, “Amen!”
Revelation 22:7, 20
“Behold, I come quickly. Blessed is he who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book.” He who testifies these things says, “Yes, I come quickly.” Amen! Yes, come, Lord Jesus.
I eagerly await Christ’s return, bringing me eternal salvation
Hebrews 9:28
So Christ also, having been offered once to bear the sins of many, will appear a second time, without sin, to those who are eagerly waiting for him for salvation.
Jesus’ second coming is my blessed hope
Titus 2:13-14
Looking for the blessed hope and appearing of the glory of our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ, who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify for himself a people for his own possession, zealous for good works.
Everyone will see Jesus’ coming, even those who crucified Him
Revelation 1:7
Behold, he is coming with the clouds, and every eye will see him, including those who pierced him. All the tribes of the earth will mourn over him. Even so, Amen.
I will be ready always for His second coming, for it will be unexpected
2 Peter 3:10
But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the night; in which the heavens will pass away with a great noise, and the elements will be dissolved with fervent heat, and the earth and the works that are in it will be burned up.
I remain in fellowship with Christ so that when He returns, I will be full of courage

Now, little children, remain in him, that when he appears, we may have boldness, and not be ashamed before him at his coming.
Christ, seated in a place of power at God’s right hand, will return coming on the clouds
Matthew 26:64
Jesus said to him, “You have said so. Nevertheless, I tell you, after this you will see the Son of Man sitting at the right hand of Power, and coming on the clouds of the sky.”
