I wonder how different our world is since the beginning when God created it.

Genesis 1:26 gives humanity dominion over the earth and all the animals within it. Would God be proud of how we have taken care of His gift?

In the ocean, we see God’s great gift of beauty. I somehow wonder if we would walk the bottom of the sea what we would find. Would it be as beautiful? Would we see the delicate ecosystems our Creator made? Would we discover the relics and remains of war? Would we see ships that have sunk and remained on the bottom? Would we see the garbage left sinking to the bottom, like the landfills all across the world?

There is so much beauty yet to be discovered.

The beauty of the forest and all that lies within it can give us peace and the gracious gift of a loving spirit.

We have been given a gift of our world’s treasures. Can we stop, turn around and clean it up? Are we willing to pick up the piece of trash off the sidewalk or haul the plastic from the ocean? Are we willing to do what it takes to clean our air and be more observant about the world God gave us?

It all starts with me and you. We are in charge of God’s beautiful gift.
