Bible verses about
Obedience

Obedience, changing our actions out of compliance or respect for another, often has a negative connotation in today’s world. We like to think we are responsible for ourselves, but obeying the rules is the core of civilization. At home, at school, at work, as citizens — obedience allows society to function.

An abundance of grace and peace bless those who obey what Jesus taught (1 Peter 1:2). Christ “humbled himself, becoming obedient to the point of death, yes, the death of the cross” (Philippians 2:8).

Instead of creating puppets, or robots, or slaves, God created us, His children. He gave us rules because He loves us. He wants us to obey them because we love Him.
