The value of a true friend is immeasurable.

Life seems brighter and loads seem lighter when walking in step with a good friend. Without a friend’s unbiased perspective, my experiences are stifled, like a musty room that needs fresh air. A friend is a priceless aid to me becoming a better version of myself. Better choices and better outcomes are all due to the faithfulness of the friends with whom I surround myself.

I especially thank God for friends who are not only good towards me but who are also good to one another as well.

I’ve found that, when someone I assumed was a good friend constantly speaks badly of others, more often than not, that individual is doing the same to me as well — presenting a friendly front while tearing me down behind my back.

2 Thessalonians 1:3 tells us that it is “appropriate” to be thankful when both growing faith and love are manifested towards one another.

I am comfortable in the midst of friends who are also genuine friends of each other. Like-mindedness can cause our relationships to become stronger. True friendship does not tolerate speaking evil of others. I treasure the time with my godly friends, secure in the knowledge that growing faith and love are prized.
