Abraham's blessings and rewards can be mine if I obey God
Genesis 22:17-18
That I will bless you greatly, and I will multiply your offspring greatly like the stars of the heavens, and like the sand which is on the seashore. Your offspring will possess the gate of his enemies. All the nations of the earth will be blessed by your offspring, because you have obeyed my voice.
God will reward those who obey
Proverbs 13:13
Whoever despises instruction will pay for it, but he who respects a command will be rewarded.
God promises abundant blessings for those who obey Him
Deuteronomy 28:1-2
It shall happen, if you shall listen diligently to the LORD your God’s voice, to observe to do all his commandments which I command you today, that the LORD your God will set you high above all the nations of the earth. All these blessings will come upon you, and overtake you, if you listen to the LORD your God’s voice.
Obeying delights God
1 Samuel 15:22
Samuel said, “Has the LORD as great delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices, as in obeying the LORD’s voice? Behold, to obey is better than sacrifice, and to listen than the fat of rams.”
Obeying godly parents leads to better lives for their children
Ephesians 6:1-3
Children, obey your parents in the Lord, for this is right. “Honor your father and mother,” which is the first commandment with a promise: “that it may be well with you, and you may live long on the earth.”
The Lord rejoices over the obedient believer
Deuteronomy 30:9-10
The LORD your God will make you prosperous in all the work of your hand, in the fruit of your body, in the fruit of your livestock, and in the fruit of your ground, for good; for the LORD will again rejoice over you for good, as he rejoiced over your fathers, if you will obey the LORD your God’s voice, to keep his commandments and his statutes which are written in this book of the law; if you turn to the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul.
