Who knew that believing God created the heavens and the earth would stir so much controversy?

On February 4, 2014, Bill Nye, renowned science educator, and Ken Ham, renowned Creation apologist, debated on the origins of the earth. The debate lasted for two and half hours as both men shared their views on how it all began.

Worldwide crowds looked on in awe. In essence, each scientist debated Who or what was responsible for the handiwork on display throughout nature.

In the classic hymn, “This Is My Father’s World,” Maltbie Davenport Babcock expresses his admiration for God’s work in nature. He had the habit of going out for daily walks. Before he left home, he would tell his wife that he was off to see “my Father’s world!”

The poignant lyrics of the song celebrate the timeless truth of the handiwork of God in full display throughout nature.

Nature isn’t quiet about the Mastermind behind its beauty. From the buzzing of the bee enjoying the nectar of a flower to turbulent seas with crashing waves, the signature of God is everywhere. The beauty all around us is not happenstance, but Divine design.

We can debate it all day long, but the evidence speaks for itself. This is my Father’s world and this is my Father’s work.
