“Why do you spend money for that which is not bread, and your labor for that which doesn’t satisfy?” God asks (Isaiah 55:2). Every human is created with a God-sized hole in their soul which nothing on earth — not money, health, status, or fame — can fill.
Only God can satisfy our every need. Trust Him. See for yourself how Jesus satisfies our thirst for more as completely today as He did the woman at the well so long ago (John 4:13-14).
Even when I complain, God wants to satisfy me
Moses said, “Now the LORD will give you meat to eat in the evening, and in the morning bread to satisfy you, because the LORD hears your murmurings which you murmur against him. And who are we? Your murmurings are not against us, but against the LORD.”
Jesus satisfies, sustains, and saves me
Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life. Whoever who comes to me will not be hungry, and whoever who believes in me will never be thirsty.”
Satisfying food, drink, and work come from God
There is nothing better for a man than that he should eat and drink, and make his soul enjoy good in his labor. This also I saw, that it is from the hand of God.
Jesus Christ fills me fully and completely; He alone satisfies
That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give to you a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him. He put all things in subjection under his feet, and gave him to be head over all things for the assembly, which is his body, the fullness of him who fills all in all.
God’s love and kindness satisfies
Satisfy us in the morning with your loving kindness, that we may rejoice and be glad all our days.
When I help satisfy others’ needs, God promises to bless me and satisfy me
And if you pour out your soul to the hungry, and satisfy the afflicted soul, then your light will rise in darkness, and your obscurity will be as the noonday; and the LORD will guide you continually, satisfy your soul in dry places, and make your bones strong. You will be like a watered garden, and like a spring of water whose waters don’t fail.
God satisfies those who humbly seek Him
The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise the LORD who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.
When I am in trouble, God’s deliverance will satisfy me
He will call on me, and I will answer him. I will be with him in trouble. I will deliver him, and honor him. I will satisfy him with long life, and show him my salvation.
Jesus satisfies my physical needs as well as my spiritual needs
They all ate and were filled. They took up seven baskets full of the broken pieces that were left over.
Praising God blesses me with satisfaction and vitality
Before the mountains were born, before you had formed the earth and the world, even from everlasting to everlasting, you are God. You sweep them away as they sleep. In the morning they sprout like new grass.
God promises to sustain and satisfy His people
The LORD answered his people, “Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied with them; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations. You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of the LORD, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never again be disappointed.
God’s comfort satisfies
Then the virgin will rejoice in the dance; the young men and the old together; for I will turn their mourning into joy, and will comfort them, and make them rejoice from their sorrow. I will satiate the soul of the priests with fatness, and my people will be satisfied with my goodness,” says the LORD.
God satisfies the longing in my soul
Let them praise the LORD for his loving kindness, for his wonderful deeds to the children of men! For he satisfies the longing soul. He fills the hungry soul with good.
