Use Money God’s Way

Using my God-given power to get wealth (Deuteronomy 8:18), I earn money. After I earn it, I will use that precious money God’s way, so I can have the blessings God has in sore for me. Some Scriptural insight on earthly wealth:
Save treasure in heaven, rather than on earth
Matthew 6:19-21
Don’t lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don’t break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Practice contentment
Hebrews 13:5
Be free from the love of money, content with such things as you have, for he has said, “I will in no way leave you, neither will I in any way forsake you.”
Don’t covet other people’s things
Exodus 20:17
You shall not covet your neighbor’s house. You shall not covet your neighbor’s wife, nor his male servant, nor his female servant, nor his ox, nor his donkey, nor anything that is your neighbor’s.
Worship God above all else, and don’t idolize wealth
Exodus 20:3-4; Matthew 6:24
“You shall have no other gods before me. You shall not make for yourselves an idol, nor any image of anything that is in the heavens above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.” No one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or else he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You can’t serve both God and Mammon.
Leave an inheritance for my children’s children
Proverbs 13:22
A good man leaves an inheritance to his children’s children, but the wealth of the sinner is stored for the righteous.
Honor God by returning at least ten percent of my income to Him
Malachi 3:10; Proverbs 3:9-10
“Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house, and test me now in this,” says the LORD of Hosts, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing, that there will not be room enough for.” Honor the LORD with your substance, with the first fruits of all your increase; so your barns will be filled with plenty, and your vats will overflow with new wine.
Owe no one any debt
Romans 13:8; Proverbs 22:7
Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. The rich rule over the poor. The borrower is servant to the lender.
Give generously
Acts 20:35; Luke 6:38
In all things I gave you an example, that so laboring you ought to help the weak, and to remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that he himself said, “It is more blessed to give than to receive. Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”
Avoid get-rich-quick schemes; do not defraud anyone
Proverbs 13:11
Wealth gained dishonestly dwindles away, but he who gathers by hand makes it grow.
Be consistently honest in all areas
Luke 6:38
Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.
