Jesus’ Blessings

When Jesus taught, He often spoke specific blessings to those who heard His words. Because “the Word of God is living and active” (Hebrews 4:12), those blessings Christ spoke are as full of power today as they were when He spoke them two thousand years ago. Embrace them. Meditate on them. Let them abundantly bless you.
Those who suffer from depression and low spirits are blessed with belonging to God’s kingdom
Matthew 5:3
Blessed are the poor in spirit, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Those who grieve and are sad will be blessed with comfort
Matthew 5:4
Blessed are those who mourn, for they shall be comforted.
The earth is a blessing that belongs to the gentle ones
Matthew 5:5
Blessed are the gentle, for they shall inherit the earth.
Those desperate for righteousness are blessed; they will find what they seek
Matthew 5:6
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be filled.
The pure will be blessed to see God
Matthew 5:8
Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.
Peacemakers are God’s blessed children
Matthew 5:9
Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called children of God.
Those who endure persecution on God’s behalf are blessed with belonging to God’s kingdom
Matthew 5:10
Blessed are those who have been persecuted for righteousness’ sake, for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven.
Those who are persecuted for believing in Jesus are blessed and can expect great rewards
Matthew 5:11-12
Blessed are you when people reproach you, persecute you, and say all kinds of evil against you falsely, for my sake. Rejoice, and be exceedingly glad, for great is your reward in heaven. For that is how they persecuted the prophets who were before you.
Everyone who believes Jesus is the Christ is blessed
Matthew 11:6
Blessed is he who finds no occasion for stumbling in me.
Blessed are those who recognize Jesus for Who He really is
Matthew 13:16
“But blessed are your eyes, for they see; and your ears, for they hear.”
God will bless all who actively serve Him
Matthew 24:45-47
Who then is the faithful and wise servant, whom his lord has set over his household, to give them their food in due season? Blessed is that servant whom his lord finds doing so when he comes. Most certainly I tell you that he will set him over all that he has.
Jesus blesses both children and childlike faith
Mark 10:15-16
“Most certainly I tell you, whoever will not receive God’s Kingdom like a little child, he will in no way enter into it.” He took them in his arms, and blessed them, laying his hands on them.
