10 Blessings for Renewal

List by Ami Hendrickson

Our God is the Creator. He specializes in making all things new. As His child, I can freely claim these Biblical promises for each blessing of renewal.

God will transform my life and renew my mind

Romans 12:12

Rejoicing in hope; enduring in troubles; continuing steadfastly in prayer.

By God’s grace, my old life will be gone for good

2 Corinthians 5:17

Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation. The old things have passed away. Behold, all things have become new.

May God grant me a joyful new song of praise and power

Sing to the LORD a new song, for he has done marvelous things! His right hand and his holy arm have worked salvation for him.

I never need to fear losing my way

Isaiah 43:19

Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.

God will always reveal new things to me

Isaiah 48:6

You have heard it. Now see all this. And you, won’t you declare it? “I have shown you new things from this time, even hidden things, which you have not known.”

God promises to erase my bad memories

Isaiah 65:17

“For, behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; and the former things will not be remembered, nor come into mind.”

God’s kindness and compassion will revive me

Lamentations 3:22-23

It is because of the LORD’s loving kindnesses that we are not consumed, because his compassion doesn’t fail. They are new every morning. Great is your faithfulness.

God has blessed me with an infinite capacity for love

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another. Just as I have loved you, you also love one another.

Jesus has blessed me with a fresh start

We were buried therefore with him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead through the glory of the Father, so we also might walk in newness of life.

God’s Word nourishes me

1 Peter 2:2-3

As newborn babies, long for the pure milk of the Word, that with it you may grow, if indeed you have tasted that the Lord is gracious.
