Jesus Is My Joy

Jesus is my joy. His light shines upon me and within me. Thinking about all He has done for me and all that He is to me lifts me up above my circumstances. Whenever my world is looking dark, I can brighten my perspective by focusing on Jesus.
Whether you are healthy, ill, happy or grieving, let Jesus be your joy today.
When Jesus comes to me, my joy is made complete
John 17:13
But now I come to you, and I say these things in the world, that they may have my joy made full in themselves.
When Jesus remains in me, I am filled with joy
John 15:11
I have spoken these things to you, that my joy may remain in you, and that your joy may be made full.
I want to share Jesus’ joy when God reveals the truth to a little one like me
Luke 10:21
In that same hour Jesus rejoiced in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I thank you, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding, and revealed them to little children. Yes, Father, for so it was well-pleasing in your sight.”
Jesus endured His suffering on the cross by thinking about the joy His sacrifice would bring: humanity's salvation
Hebrews 12:2
Looking to Jesus, the author and perfecter of faith, who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising its shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Jesus rejoices over those who believe in Him through my witness and testimony
1 Thessalonians 2:19
For what is our hope, or joy, or crown of rejoicing? Isn’t it even you, before our Lord Jesus at his coming?
I want to share Jesus’ joy in saving the lost
Luke 15:5-7
When he has found it, he carries it on his shoulders, rejoicing. When he comes home, he calls together his friends and his neighbors, saying to them, ‘Rejoice with me, for I have found my sheep which was lost!’ I tell you that even so there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents, than over ninety-nine righteous people who need no repentance.
I will have Jesus’ joy if I continue to believe in Him
John 16:20-22
Most certainly I tell you that you will weep and lament, but the world will rejoice. You will be sorrowful, but your sorrow will be turned into joy. A woman, when she gives birth, has sorrow because her time has come. But when she has delivered the child, she doesn’t remember the anguish any more, for the joy that a human being is born into the world. Therefore you now have sorrow, but I will see you again, and your heart will rejoice, and no one will take your joy away from you.
