How to Know God More Fully

Eternal life is knowing God intimately (John 17:3). It can be deepened via profound appreciation, sharing His good news, using the talents He gives for good, and constant growth towards the beauty of His divine character.
Appreciation increases intimacy, so give thanks for God’s eternal loving kindness
1 Chronicles 16:34; 1 Thessalonians 5:18
Oh give thanks to the LORD, for he is good, for his loving kindness endures forever. In everything give thanks, for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus toward you.
Sharing what Jesus has done for me deepens my relationship with Him
Luke 8:39
“Return to your house, and declare what great things God has done for you.” He went his way, proclaiming throughout the whole city what great things Jesus had done for him.
When I use my talents to glorify God, Jesus personally approves
Matthew 25:20-21
He who received the five talents came and brought another five talents, saying, “Lord, you delivered to me five talents. Behold, I have gained another five talents in addition to them.” His lord said to him, “Well done, good and faithful servant. You have been faithful over a few things, I will set you over many things. Enter into the joy of your lord.”
An intimate relationship with Jesus motivates me to grow more like Him
2 Peter 1:4-7
By which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust. Yes, and for this very cause adding on your part all diligence, in your faith supply moral excellence; and in moral excellence, knowledge; and in knowledge, self-control; and in self-control perseverance; and in perseverance godliness; and in godliness brotherly affection; and in brotherly affection, love.
