When a college student is looking for advice on which classes to take or which internship to accept, they don’t ask their younger sister. They go to someone they can trust — a guidance and career counselor.

When a business owner needs a loan, they ask a banker, rather than a plumber or musician.

Likewise, when a doctor is seeking another opinion on a difficult diagnosis, he or she consults a specialist, rather than a lawyer or a financial advisor.

Untrained people don’t have the expertise to give the student or doctor what they are looking for. What they need.

This same principle is true for us when it comes to searching for fulfillment, purpose, and hope.

There is one place and one place only where these things can be found. That place is the Bible. The Word of God. In it, we read of Jesus. Anything or anyone else we try to substitute in His place will disappoint, misinform, and fail.

Jesus, only Jesus, is the Way, the Truth, and the way to Life eternal.
