Sabbath
God gave us Sabbath to have close fellowship with Him. He blessed the Sabbath, He rested during it, and He made it holy.
God made the Sabbath for humanity. It is good to do good on the Sabbath day. Jesus Christ, as well as all of God’s faithful friends, kept the Sabbath holy.
I, too, will faithfully keep the Sabbath as a day set apart to glorify the Creator God, enjoying the abundant blessings He promised those who honor His day.
God created the earth during the first six days and celebrated it on Sabbath
Exodus 20:8-11
Remember the Sabbath day, to keep it holy. You shall labor six days, and do all your work, but the seventh day is a Sabbath to the LORD your God. The Sabbath was made to meet the need of people, not vice versa

I keep the Sabbath because it is a holy day for me
Exodus 31:14
You shall keep the Sabbath therefore, for it is holy to you. Everyone who profanes it shall surely be put to death; for whoever does any work therein, that soul shall be cut off from among his people.
