To know God’s law is to see His heart.

“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments,” Jesus said (John 14:15).

When asked about the law, Jesus summarized it like this: “You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your strength, and with all your mind, and your neighbor as yourself” (Luke 10:27).

So, God’s law boils down to love. Love for God first, and for others second.

It can be hard to follow sometimes, but it’s always worth it. His law isn’t just a set of rules to follow; it is also an expression of God’s love for us.

If you think about it, God’s law show us how much He cares for us. How much He wants a relationship with us.

When you are in a relationship with someone, you want them to be with you only. You don’t want to share them with anyone else. You also want them to respect you and spend time with you. And of course, you would care how they treated others, and want them to do what’s right.

We can see how important these things are to God when we read over His commandments.

To know God’s law is to see His heart. And His heart is full of love.
