Promises of grace and mercy
Jonah 4:2b
“I knew that you are a gracious God and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and you relent of doing harm.”
The promise of pardon
Micah 7:18
Who is a God like you, who pardons iniquity, and passes over the disobedience of the remnant of his heritage? He doesn’t retain his anger forever, because he delights in loving kindness.

Luke 4:18
