Too Good to NOT Be True

by Darla Noble

Revelation 21:5

He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” He said, “Write, for these words of God are faithful and true.”

We all have questions about heaven; what will it be like? Will we know one another? What will we do there? And why didn’t God tell us these things?

God didn’t tell us everything about heaven and what is to come because a) it is beyond human comprehension and b) God wants us to come to Him in faith.

It’s human nature to question what we cannot see or fully comprehend. But whenever I have questions and doubts, I ask myself this: Do I believe that God sent Jesus to die on the cross for my sins? My answer is always yes—I believe it with my whole heart, soul, and mind.

Once I’ve answered that question, I ask myself if God is going to give His one and only Son as a human sacrifice for my sins, what else could He possibly do that could be more painful or difficult? And the answer to that question is always NOTHING. So when you have doubts remember…there is nothing God won’t do for you—Jesus’ death on the cross is proof of that.

Pray: God, thank You for Your unselfish gift. Help me know that because of this gift I can trust everything else Your Word has to say. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
