In the US, October 16 is National Bosses Day, a time for employees to recognize and express appreciation to their bosses.

If you are an employee

Respect your boss. Treat your boss the way you expect him or her to treat you (Golden Rule).

Represent Jesus at your work and pray for your boss.

Get the job done far better than your boss expects.

Appreciate the opportunity to work with your boss.

Work wholeheartedly, as if working for God.

Be trustworthy: no stealing of time or money.

Show humility. Do not take advantage of a God-fearing boss.

If you are a boss

Treat your employees the way you expect them to treat you (Golden Rule).

Be a servant like Jesus. Look for your reward from God.

Listen to those under you and provide what they need.

Help employees to enjoy working with you.

Give fair wages with honesty and integrity.

Remember that God entrusted these workers to you.
