Heal me, O the LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved: for you are my praise.
The mythical King Midas had the golden touch. Whatever he laid his hands on, furniture, food, people, turned to gold.
Our God has a golden touch too. But our God isn’t mythical! Whatever He wishes success on, whatever He blesses, whomever He heals, whomever He saves, will have it done.
Remember the story of the woman who touched Jesus’ cloak? She bled for twelve years, perhaps from cysts, a failing thyroid, endometriosis, or cancer. She was not allowed to touch anyone. She was ceremonially unclean. But, when she heard of the miracles of a rabbi thirty miles away, she knew she had to reach Him. If she could just grasp the edge of His cloak, she would be healed. She did. She reached out in faith. God reached back with healing.
God’s touch is gold. He can direct surgeon’s hands. He can enlighten medical researchers. He can save even without an earthly touch. No ailment is beyond His understanding, no sickness beyond His ability to fix. If we ask and He wills, if it is what’s best in His great vision of time, then it will be done. So pray. If anyone can bring you answers, if anyone can heal you, God’s touch must come first.
