Beloved, now we are children of God. It is not yet revealed what we will be; but we know that when he is revealed, we will be like him, for we will see him just as he is.
In traveling around the world, I’ve seen some amazing and beautiful places.
I have a tendency, though, to imagine what I will see before I get there. Sometimes the place is even more amazing than I thought it would be.
However, there have been times that I have been disappointed. My imagination exaggerated what was really there. When this happens, I thank Jesus for the faith I have that my future in heaven will be far greater than anything I can imagine. I know I will not be the least bit disappointed.
What do you think heaven will be like? What do you see when you think about what it will be like to be in the presence of Jesus?
I often think about heaven.
Jesus has been all I need so far and He will be all I need for eternity. I can hardly wait for the day I can see it for myself! That is why I want to live every day as if it is my last because I want to be ready to see heaven’s glory.
I invite you to do the same.
What do I envision when I think of heaven? What does heaven mean to me?
Dear God, Help me remember the cross daily. Remind me to live in gratitude for what Jesus’ death means for me. Help me look forward to the joys of heaven and living in the presence of You and Your Son. In Jesus’ wonderful name I pray, Amen.
