During a recent stay in Costa Rica, a family invited us to lunch after the church worship.

The smiles, the welcoming comments, and the well-prepared delicious meal made us feel at home.

Afterward, we attended a youth concert with worshipful songs that uplifted us.

In the evening, we walked around a newly opened department store. There we saw two adult daughters holding hands with their mom and dad. Sometimes they danced to the background music.

We went into a restaurant to eat, where we discovered the same family of four sitting in front of us.

Their joy — the bonding, the pure trust, and caring love — was lovely. The family shined with peace from God.

I told them, “It is a beautiful picture! Two beautiful daughters and Mom and Dad.”

They beamed and, at their request, I took a picture of them.

Sitting in the car on the way back home, my heart was full of happiness.

When you and your loved ones have Jesus in their hearts, the perfect peace that results will not only make you happy, but it will make other people happy as well.

Today, I pray that you and your family may fully experience the perfect peace only God can give.
