Since you have been precious and honored in my sight, and I have loved you, therefore I will give people in your place, and nations instead of your life. Everyone who is called by my name, and whom I have created for my glory, whom I have formed, yes, whom I have made.
God loves you.
God is love (1 John 4:8). He loves you, no matter who you are or what you’ve done. He loves you as much as He loves every other person who has ever lived.
God plays no favorites. If you were the only human who had ever sinned, He would still have sent His Son, Jesus, to die on the cross to redeem you.
He loves you because He created you in His image. You resemble your Father. You have the capacity to grow in Him, to become more and more like Him, to be filled with His Holy Spirit.
He loves you because He knows you. He knows where you go when you go out. He knows what you like to do when you are home. And He will preserve you (see Psalm 121’s beautiful promise).
You are alive today because the Lord has created you and placed you here on earth, at this time, in this place, for a purpose. He has plans for you that last for eternity.
But your thoughts and your life are yours to live as you choose. God will never force His children to choose him. Yet He is always ready to welcome those who do.
God loves you. There is no question about it. The only question is, do you love Him?
How do I feel, knowing God gave His only son, Jesus, as a sacrifice for my sins? When I feel that no one else loves me, what are some verses in the Bible I can turn to for inspiration?
Dear Lord, Thank You for creating me, for leading me, and for loving me. I praise You for who You are. In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.
