Behold, I will do a new thing. It springs out now. Don’t you know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.
When it comes to making resolutions for the New Year, people tend to fall into one of two categories.
We either love resolution-making or hate it, depending on how successful we are at keeping the resolutions we make.
I want this year to be different for you. I want to encourage you to get out of this love-hate relationship with yourself by deciding to quit trying. Quit trying to start something, stop something, change something, or do something new on your own. We weren’t made to do things on our own. We were made to live and thrive in Jesus and with Jesus. He completes us.
Today, and every day, the only resolution you need to make is to follow Jesus completely. He makes all things new. That includes you.
As you start the new year, make it a truly happy one by being happy, changed, and renewed from the inside out.
Happy New Year!
How do I want God to change my life this year? Have I asked Him to?
Dear God, Please take away my pride and feelings of needing to do things on my own. Please replace them with the desire to give all things over to You. In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
