Nothing Is Impossible with God

by Pastor Ken

1 Corinthians 15:58

Therefore, my beloved brothers, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the Lord’s work, because you know that your labor is not in vain in the Lord.

“Nothing is impossible with God.”

Luke 1:37 NLT

The light was so bright Mary could not see anything. Suddenly, the angel Gabriel said, “Hi! God is with you!”

Gabriel continued, “Don’t be afraid, Mary. You have found favor with God! You will have a Baby Boy, and you will name Him Jesus. He will be called the Son of the Most High. He will sit on the throne of His ancestor King David. He will rule Israel forever; His kingdom will never end!”

Mary asked, “I am a virgin. How can this be possible?”

The angel answered, “It is possible because of the Holy Spirit. The Baby will be the Son of God. Evidence of God’s miraculous power can also be seen in your relative Elizabeth who has become pregnant with a son and is now in her sixth month. She was unable to have a child, but even though she is now older God has blessed her and Zachariah with a son.”

Because Mary believed and had faith, she responded, “Yes, I am a servant of the Lord. May everything you have said happen to me.”

When the angel left her, Mary could hardly wait to see Elizabeth. As the angel Gabriel had said, Mary was indeed pregnant.

Mary’s purpose was to be Jesus’ mother. You, too, have a unique purpose—one God created you to fulfill. When it comes to living out the purpose for your life, all you have to do is ask Jesus to reveal it to you and He will. Not only that, Jesus will be with you every step of the way in living out that purpose. With Jesus you can accomplish anything, “for nothing spoken by God is impossible” (Luke 1:37).

This devotion is based on Luke 1: 26-38.
