As a child, my life revolved around school friends.

I’d spend most of the day with them, only to spend more hours after school chatting on the phone about crushes, pop culture, and inside jokes.

Sometimes, our parents would interrupt our silly banter to ask if our homework was completed. During those moments, we’d say goodbye and quickly rush through our assignments so we could come back on the phone to resume the conversation.

However, there were times when I called and got a busy signal, which meant someone else was on the phone. Disappointed, I’d go to bed, anticipating the next conversation with childish glee.

Unlike phone calls that never connect, God is willing and able to commune with us at a moment’s notice. He desires our company and waits in anticipation for us to call on Him. And the best part about it is that heaven has no busy signals, no call waiting, no dropped calls, and no interference.

When we pause from the hectic pace of life and pour out our hearts to God, He listens intently and He answers us. God is waiting on a call from you. All you have to do is dial in with a prayer from your heart.
