I was studying for my college finals, but it seemed the harder I studied the less prepared I felt.

So I stopped.

I stopped studying and started praying. I prayed today’s verse. I said, “Jesus, thank You that You have already given me the promise of wisdom in James 1:5.”

After I was done praying, I started studying again. But when I looked down at the exam later in the week, my mind went blank. There were only fifteen questions, but I couldn’t answer any of them. So I prayed again. “Jesus, give me the wisdom you promised in James 1:5.”

I immediately felt Jesus telling me to answer question number three. So I did.

That’s how the entire exam went. Question by question I prayed for wisdom and I got it. And when it was all over with, I had earned an A. Jesus had definitely kept His promise.
