My Strength and Song

by Pastor Ken

Psalm 118:14

The LORD is my strength and song. He has become my salvation.

I had a huge burden, far larger than I could handle.

I got in my car and started driving. “Jesus is my strength and my song,” I said. I repeated today’s verse many times with all my heart.

Then I recalled how Jesus really had helped me in past situations that had seemed impossible. My heart filled with gratitude. Soon, I had full confidence that God would be my strength. I knew I could handle my burden with Jesus’ help.

When I can not see any way to solve my problem, I hand it over to Jesus. Then Jesus says to me “Thank you, my child. I will handle it.” And He does.

I pray that God will do the same for you today. Focus on Jesus, not on the problems that plague you. Jesus is the specialist who can solve all your problems. Give them to Him. Put them in His capable hands. Let Him be your strength and give you a song worth singing.

Reflection

How can I make Jesus my source of strength in my daily life?

Prayer

Dear Lord, I praise You with all my heart, mind, soul, and strength because of Your marvelous help, love, and the gift of salvation. You are the source of my strength. You are my unending song. In the name of Jesus, who is my Salvation, I pray. Amen.
