What is the Good News of Christ? It starts with understanding that everyone is a sinner and the punishment for sin is death. The Good News is that Christ can take the punishment and give us His character and record.

Only through the power of God Himself and can He take the punishment for our sins. Jesus exchanged His perfect life for our sinful one. He took upon Himself all the sins of every single person who has ever lived, is living, and will live. He bore the wrath of God’s justice against sin while being sinless.

All this so that Jesus can give His perfect sinless record to us. Not only the record, but Jesus wants to change us into His image. He wants to grow us into perfection.
