Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.”
There is only one way to make a chocolate cake: with chocolate.
The primary ingredient in lemonade is lemons. There are exactly seven continents. The speed of light in a vacuum is 299,792,458 meters per second: no faster, no slower. Red and blue only make purple; they can’t make green. In other words, some things in life — a lot of things, in fact — aren’t relative to one’s opinion. They are absolutes.
The most important absolute is that Jesus is the Way, the Truth, and the Life. There is absolutely, positively, no other way to spend eternity with God in heaven. The absolute promise in today’s Bible verse is only for those who accept Jesus as Savior through repentance and baptism according to what the Word of God says in Acts 2:38.
Take some time to consider your relationship with Jesus.
My prayer for you is that you are following Him, making His truth your truth and letting Him light the path you are walking in life.
May you continually look to Jesus — the one and only One and Only — asking Him to show you your purpose in life.
How am I living in the truth of Jesus’ life-giving light? What can I do to bring more of my friends and loved ones to the Father through Him?
Omnipotent, only God, Thank You for Jesus — for His sacrifice and for the hope of heaven I have because of Him. Help me to keep Him the most important thing in my life. In the precious name of my Savior, Jesus, I pray, Amen.
